North Beach Charity Night III
Story
This fundraising page has been created in support of the Peace Of Mind Foundation. This year whilst undergoing Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy I was put in touch with POM and was able to see firsthand the positive impact they can have on families and communities.
This year we are running the Westwood vs Parker Charity game again to raise funds to help support this foundation and further help more families and provide them with Peace of Mind whilst battling Brain Cancer. Below is some info on the night.
Westwood v Parker III
Brain Cancer Charity Match
6:00PM FRIDAY, 4 OCTOBER 2024
NORTH BEACH SOCCER CLUB
The event has been organised to raise awareness and funds about Brain Cancer, after the club's senior men's playing group was impacted. We’re aiming to raise some money, raise awareness and most importantly get around those we love because unfortunately we can lose them pretty quick.
Ali Westwood, a Reserves player, ex-coach and golden boot winner was diagnosed and underwent surgery for brain cancer in 2021. Ali’s father, Trevor was also diagnosed shortly after Ali. Senior men’s player Callum Parker lost his mother Nikki Parker in October 2022 after a 15-month battle with Brain Cancer. Senior Men's Vice President and men's First Team player James Di Carlo and First Team Coach Nick Di Carlo lost their Aunt Norma Glass in July 2023 after a 2.5 year battle with Brain Cancer.
Food will be available, the bar will be open and of course the biggest game of the year Westwood v Parker. Post-game the party will kick on with music and drinks until 11:00PM.
Kick off will be at 6:30 pm. The club will provide many different ways of donating on the night, but you can also donate directly to the fundraiser using the link.
Please can you share and invite family and friends down. The last two years we had over 300 people attend and we are hoping for the same again.
We are also looking for any and all sponsors to donate to the cause and help raise money!
Please contact Callum Parker on 0401474782 or Jack Stirling on jack@nbsc.org.au if you are wanting to sponsor.
Click donate to make a secure online donation. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Thank you for your support.
